Principal Taryn Merrick has over 20 years of experience as an administrative professional. She has worked for Fortune 500 companies in the capacity of Executive Assistant to CEO’s, Sr. VP’s and Chairmen. Neal Merrick Blackwood, who is our Multimedia partner and the owner of Merrick Music studios, is from Nashville, TN and has over 30 years of background in the entertainment industry. He has done high level recording, engineering, and production projects for Bush, Randy Travis, Cyndi Lauper, etc. Our company has many years of experience working with corporate executives, interior designers, interior decorators, contractors, artists, consultants, architects, entrepreneurs, educators, retail merchandisers and buyers. Principal Taryn Merrick is certified by the National Association of Realtors (NAR®), as a Real Estate Professional Assistant. She is also certified by IVAA as a Certified Real Estate Support Specialist. The design experience is due to administrative background at the corporate offices of the Home Depot and EXPO Design Center. Her real estate background is due to working for several Commercial Real Estate Developers over the years. Taryn was the EXPO Interior Design Center Award Winner of Administrative Excellence in 2000. Our company has extensive background in providing relocation assistant services for large corporations and we have assisted in the relocation for many interior designers and people in the home improvement field; as well as organizing large relocation’s for corporate executives and business managers.
All work is done from our offices and is accomplished online. We have a digital scanner and are virtually “paperless”. Most clients email or scan us .pdf versions of their files and documents. Some clients also utilize overnight mail services. For many of our clients we utilize www.logmein.com or various webinar services like GoToMeeting, to facilitate communication both with them and between them and their own clients. As professional business owners, we are in full control of how the work is performed and what processes and procedures we use to get to the point of a finished project or result.
Since our relationship with our client is entrepreneurial/professional in nature, our services are not designed for those who need instant responses and feedback. The scenario of working with us is vastly different to hiring an employee and expecting instant turnaround. Our services are designed more for the entrepreneur who has a steady range of tasks and projects that can be carried out over time.
A retainer purchases monthly hours in advance in exchange for our lowest hourly fee. It guarantees a certain amount of our business management time during the course of the month as well as entitles the client to priority scheduling over any hourly based clients that we may have. Basically you as the client pre-pay us to have availability for all of your projects to be spread evenly throughout the calendar month. Retainer clients can think ahead as far as what their administrative needs might be and plan accordingly.

Sometimes. Rush tasks need to be completed in a “less then reasonable” amount of time. We estimate reasonable as 1-4 business days depending on the scope of the project. Rush fees keep us from following the scheduling framework that we have internally planned out, so we charge more for rush work. The rate is much higher for weekends and legal holidays, a bit less for Monday through Friday. We cannot guarantee that we will even be available for rush work, but the policy is there in case we are able to accommodate you.
