@Kathy Hi Kathy! Most of the time, the bad experiences come from the client not being educated enough about what a Virtual Assistant is and often times the Virtual Assistant and the client are not communicating at optimum levels. Over the years I've had my business, I have learned more and more as time goes by about VAs doing their due diligence when consulting with prospective clients. It's also the clients job to do due diligence, but if the Virtual Assistant does a good enough job of it, then most times the client is duly educated for what it's like to collaborate with a Virtual Assistant.

Hi Taryn,
I also wonder how things progressed when you hear of the bad experiences - how did it all happen? When I look at taking on a new client we do have a one hour consult, but also I bring up how certain aspects will work, turnaround times, what I can and cannot do etc. Much more than a simple ' Okay I will sign here and hire you"
