Virtual Assistant Survey
Please take our Virtual Assistant survey on possible reasons why people can’t seem to make the move to working with a Virtual Assistant.
I am very active on social media these days. I am noticing so many people who have misunderstandings about the process of seeking out, consulting, and eventually collaborating with a Virtual Assistant.
For some people, like my Mac clients, it is easier for them to make the transition to virtual project delegation. I am not sure why, except that it could be the free spirited nature of the Mac user.
Part of the work I do in Virtual Assistance is outreach. I enjoy talking to potential Virtual Assistant clients to see why they do or don’t want to work with a Virtual Assistant. I particularly enjoy talking to prospective Mac clients to let them know how I can help them.
I thought this survey would be a fun way to see how a larger group of people think of our industry.
What do you think some of the reasons are that prevent people from getting the administrative help that they need?

Hi Taryn,
I also wonder how things progressed when you hear of the bad experiences – how did it all happen? When I look at taking on a new client we do have a one hour consult, but also I bring up how certain aspects will work, turnaround times, what I can and cannot do etc. Much more than a simple ‘ Okay I will sign here and hire you”

@Kathy Hi Kathy! Most of the time, the bad experiences come from the client not being educated enough about what a Virtual Assistant is and often times the Virtual Assistant and the client are not communicating at optimum levels. Over the years I’ve had my business, I have learned more and more as time goes by about VAs doing their due diligence when consulting with prospective clients. It’s also the clients job to do due diligence, but if the Virtual Assistant does a good enough job of it, then most times the client is duly educated for what it’s like to collaborate with a Virtual Assistant.
