Great Apple Mail Enhancement Tool

Just a quick review for a software tool that I have been using for a few years now: indev MailTags. After a brief separation from this tool after I switched Macs, I have recently returned to it and now will never leave again.
A new client had asked me about tools which could enhance her experience using Mail.app. MailTags came to my mind first and foremost due to one feature: the ability to tag messages with keywords.
Why oh why does Mail.app not have this feature built in? Are they saving it for a future Apple OS release? How can something so basic be simply left out of Mail.app?
As a Virtual Assistant on the Mac platform, I find this feature indispensable. So many of my client emails come into my inbox mandating various categories or tags that are not mentioned in the actual email itself. For example, an email with the subject “Please Make Travel Plans to Holland” may have a body containing dates of travel required, lodging preferences, etc. However, I know it is for my clients honeymoon. So I can tag it with the keyword “honeymoon” and assign it to the project “John Doe”.
After a string of perhaps 10-15 emails on this topic (typical of many Virtual Assistant clients), all I have to do is search “honeymoon” within Mail.app, and there I will see all pertinent emails.
MailTags describes yet another great feature:
Not only can you tag your outgoing mail for your purpose, you can send tags with the messages to create an informal workflow with your recipients.
MailTags also gives you the ability to color code messages and many more features that you can see screenshots of. The modest price of US $29.95, in my opinion, makes it a “must have” for Mail.app for all Tiger and Leopard users.
Have you tried MailTags? What are some of your favorite features?
