How Did You Get Started As A Mac Virtual Assistant?
Funnily enough, what motivated me to go forward with this business model was due to a show on HGTV! I was watching a show on the luxury motorcoach and luxury RV trade. It profiled several families who basically travel the entire year, or most of the year. I was envisioning how their mail, email, phone and voicemail messages probably accumulate. I realized someone with my skills could help these people, from my own office, and a business idea was born! Even though my first business goal was to provide virtual assistant services to RV and luxury motorcoach owners, I now serve many more types of clients. I love what I do! Particularly sharing my passion for Mac computers with people who are converting from PCs. I was always a Mac and technology geek! I love the opportunity to be able to combine my love of the Mac OS with my Virtual Assistant skills.

Principal Taryn Merrick, (one of the first Eco / “Green” / Earth Conscious Virtual Assistant’s and the first Mac Virtual Assistant) after over 24 years of working in corporate environments as an executive administrative assistant, decided to put her many skills to work for her and launched this business in 2004. With years of experience working for top level CEO’s, Chairmen, and Presidents, most of this work was already being done “virtually or off-site” as many of these executives had extensive travel schedules and were rarely in the office. Our company provides complete security and confidentiality for our clients. We offer many services that are uniquely tailored to suit each client. Our client profile is typically an extremely busy person with many responsibilities. We work as administrators for clients to complete tasks or assignments according to their individual preferences. Communication is typically accomplished by email, fax, CD/DVD/FTP internet transfer, and overnight mail. Our business concept was cultivated for the busy individual, mac entrepreneur, touring artist, sole proprietorship or small business. People such as these no longer are forced to carry the overhead of an employee by paying for health insurance, 401K, vacation days, bonuses, office space, sick leave, etc.
